A. The School

Iligan City National High School is a complete secondary school which operates in two shifts- 1st and 2nd shift under three curriculums-Science Curriculum, Special Program for Sports (SPS) and the regular program of the Basic Education Curriculum. It has also a special program under the Alternative Learning System or ALS which caters the out-of -school adults.
The school has a population of 7, 625 with an area of 3.5 hectares. This school caters the children of parents from all walks of life.

Special Programs

The school has three special programs which follows the curriculum specified in the Basic Education Curriculum.

1. Special Science Curriculum (SSC)

This program is a four year secondary program which was formerly initiated & supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through buildings and science laboratory apparatus & equipment and trainings of teachers.
Students admitted to this program come from the upper 10% of the elementary graduating class. Admission test in both oral & written are administered by the Division Science/Mathematics Supervisor in coordination with the Secondary Education Chief. Only two (2) classes in every year level with at least 40 students in each class are allowed.
